Twin free standing baths in the new bathroom at No 5

We are delighted to be bringing the Love Home Stays touch to No 5, a unique, high end holiday cottage in honey coloured stone, in the heart of Stamford.

Stamford is a beautiful town halfway between London and York, known for its stunning Georgian architecture, and boasting more Grade II listed houses than any other town in England. In the Middle Ages it was famed for the wool and cloth trade, in particular a fine woollen cloth called “haberget”, or Stamford cloth.

With that history in mind, the objective at No 5 is a cottage that echoes the rich story of the town: a warm, earthy colour palette and textures, layered with antiques and art, to create an inviting, cosy and memorable space that guests will love.

First to be revealed: a dramatic bathroom in the bedroom with twin free standing black baths and chequered marble flooring, and a separate shower room. Further photographs will follow shortly.

On arrival, a welcome pack full of treats awaits, including freshly baked bread, preserves, butter, tea and coffee.
